Detailed Itinerary

Day 1
Arrival / Bangkok

After your flight lands in Bangkok, you will be greeted by your guide and escorted to your hotel. After check-in, enjoy the rest of the time at leisure.

Day 2
Bangkok

Things to do for today: Royal Grand Palace , Wat Phra Kaew (Emerald Buddha Temple) , Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn/Wat Chaeng)

Today, you will enjoy a full-day city tour accompanied by your private tour guide and driver. Firstly, visit a colorful flower and vegetable market to get an insight into real local life. Later, proceed to the Grand Palace, the most important Buddhist temple in Thailand, and visit Wat Phra Kaew within its grounds.

After lunch at a nearby restaurant, take a long-tail boat through the canals, locally known as Khlongs, to see Thai houses on stilts and typical rural life. The last stop for today is Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn), which is one of the most published images of Bangkok.

Day 3
Bangkok / Ayutthaya / Bangkok

Things to do for today: Damnoen Saduak Floating Market , The Train Market , Midnight Food Tour by Tuk Tuk (provided by Navatas)

After breakfast, head to Damnoen Saduak Floating Market to see local vendors selling various tropical fruits and other goods in the wooden boats along the small canal. You may sit down and try some fruits and snacks like sticky rice or hot soup with fish balls. Later, proceed to Maeklong Railway Train Market, a traditional Thai market selling fresh fruits, vegetables, and food. The market is famous for that a railway line crosses the marketplace and the train passes the market 8 times a day. You will have a chance to observe the scene if the time is appropriate.

Afterward, drive back to your hotel in Bangkok for a rest. At 6:00 - 6:30 pm, the tuk tuk drivers will pick you up to start a midnight food tour. Your guide will take you to some local people's favorite places to eat more than 7 delicious dishes. After the tour, be transferred back to your hotel by tuk tuk.

Day 4
Bangkok

Things to do for today: Bang Pa-In Summer Palace , Wat Maha That , Ayutthaya Historical Park

Today, head north to the former capital Ayutthaya for a journey back in time. Your first stop is Bang Pa-In Summer Palace, one of the most beautiful summer resorts for Thailand's royal family. Proceed to Wat Maha That, a classic temple ruin of Ayutthaya, famous for the Buddha head engulfed by the Bodhi tree roots.

After a local Thai lunch, visit Ayutthaya Historical Park. Wat Phra Sri Sanphet was once the most significant temple during the Ayutthaya period. The adjacent Viharn Phra Mongkol Bopit houses a large seated bronze Buddha image, whose rebuilt pristine hall was believed to be a replica of the old Assembly Hall of Ayutthaya. Afterward, drive back to your hotel in Bangkok.

Day 5
Bangkok / Chiang Mai

Things to do for today: Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep , Wat Chedi Luang , Wat Phra Singh

After breakfast, take a late morning flight to Chiang Mai in the north part of Thailand. Upon arrival, be greeted by your local guide and escorted to your hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy a city tour. You will visit Wat Chedi Luang, followed by Wat Phra Singh. Afterward, head to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep with a stopover at Wat Umong.

Day 6

Things to do for today: Cooking class

Today, you will enjoy a cooking experience with a local Lanna family to learn how to make Thai food. Visit a traditional Lanna family, who keeps the traditions of building their homes using teak wood and maintaining the natural surroundings in a way now rarely seen in Chiang Mai. You will use fresh ingredients selected from the garden and traditional home recipes with authentic Northern Thai flavors that are different from standard dishes offered in commercial cooking classes. You will get to know a real Thai family, and enjoy a delicious home-cooked lunch with them.

Day 7

Things to do for today: Baan Chang Elephant Park

Today, you will spend a whole day in Baan Chang Elephant Park, an elephant sanctuary in Chiang Mai (Join-in Group Tour with shuttle bus), where you may take care of the gentle elephants and get close to them.

Day 8
Chiang Mai / Exit

Enjoy some free time before being transferred to the airport for your homebound flight.
